Cake Made With Love

If you are feeling peckish this post is not for you!

As the name suggests the new www.cakemadewithlove.co.uk website is a portal into the fantastic world of wedding, cupcake and celebration cakes. Having eaten some of Katy's cakes before, this was an assignment I was very much looking forward to! I visited Katy's kitchen in Solihull in early March to work on the brief for her new website and also take some shots for the site.

The key to food photography is natural light, luckily Katy has some large windows providing plenty of ambient sunlight but I also introduced some artificial light using daylight bulbs and umbrellas for the wedding cake shots.

The brief for Katy's new website was for a colourful, simple to navigate site which she would be able to update herself. The website includes galleries and a blog which explores her work.
