Flowers, a wedding and depth of field
First off, congratulations to my sister and her fiancé Michael who finally tied the knot this summer! It was a fantastic day and as usual lots of planning had gone before however I doubt there have been many weddings where the respective mothers of bride and groom had put so much effort into growing sweet peas! This gave me the opportunity to have a play with different aperture settings which is one of the main ingredients used to produce great depth of field effects. The idea behind depth of field is to isolate the subject of your shot in sharp focus while your background and sometimes foreground are blurred.
Enjoy your honeymoon guys!
