As anyone who has visited Bath in a car will know it is an awful city to drive around, the streets were designed for sedan chairs not tourist buses and commuters! Luckily I live in the middle of town with everything within easy walking distance.

The eclipse took place this morning over a misty Bath, the perfect chance to play with my 50mm prime lens, the latest edition to my bag. Usually you would reach for a long zoom lens and filters to take detailed shots of the halo around the moon but with a 50mm I was looking to take some arty shots with some context.

I recently had the pleasure of designing and building www.abercornucopia.com, a website which explores and documents the 39 editions of Abercornucopia. First published in 1962 Abercornucopia was a monthly newspaper printed and published by the Lake Press Limited of Abercorn, Northern Rhodesia.
