Cover story, a Cotswolds country retreat

Creating Lifestyle Features for Country Homes & Interiors Magazine

The Brief

I absolutely loved this shoot. The master bedroom with its bold fabric/wallpaper combination, the stylish home office and a rolltop bath in the garden. Our pictures needed to tell the story of a stylish but quirky Cotswold Retreat and would lead to the cover of Country Homes & Interiors.

The Process

We allocated a good portion of our time to the master bedroom in the attic of the property which went viral on Instagram. We could have spent all day but instead found the strongest wide shots (which were both sides of the bed, straight on) and then made sure we captured detail shots that illustrated the matching blinds, drapes and wallpaper.

The Result

We also spent lots of time styling the property as the clients had not yet moved in. We made sure the more lifestyle shots gave a welcoming countryside feel with yards and yards of books, coats and boots. The roll top bath in the garden was a first for me, but with consistent styling the images caught the eye of Country Home & Interiors magazine who chose the project for their cover and main feature.
